Webinar: 3D printed implants
Join us when Particle3D, in collaboration with IDA, presents an exciting webinar about the company's journey. Learn how it went from inventing their patented 3D printing technology to the development of 3D printed patient-specific bone implants.
Particle3D is a Danish MedTech company that uses patented technology to 3D print patient-specific, natural and biodegradable bone implants, which are converted into real living bone. Casper Slots is the commercial manager of Particle3D and co-founded the company in 2017, prompted by the invention of the award-winning technology. The technology, which involves an innovative composition of biomaterials for 3D printing, was developed while two of the three founders were engineering students at the University of Southern Denmark.
At this webinar, you will meet Casper Slots, who will give you a unique insight into the company’s development from start-up to their current state. Casper will talk about the structure of the technology, which enables the innovative 3D printing process where objects are constructed directly from a CAD file. In addition, you can hear about how Particle3D uses their innovative technology to develop bone implants that are designed for each individual patient using 3D engineering, and in parallel have developed and launched a 3D printed R&D product based on the built-up expertise in 3D printing of biomaterials.
About the speaker:
Casper Slots is a civil engineer in Welfare Technology, and has for the last five years worked with the development of new bioinks for 3D printing, and systems for the supply of medicines. Today, he serves as the commercial manager of Particle3D, where he is in charge of the company’s commercial development.
The webinar will take place Tuesday, 2 January 2021 at 09:00-11:00.
The webinar is free of charge – also if you are not a member of IDA.
Please be aware that the event will be in Danish.
