We are working towards DTU Science Park achieving the final DGNB Gold certification in 2027.
When we achieve our DGNB gold certification, DTU Science Park will become Denmark's first business area with a comprehensive sustainability certification addressing over 300 sustainability parameters.
January 2026
Midway Gold Certification
We are proud that DTU Science Park has now achieved DGNB midterm Gold certification with a performance score of 66.9%. To obtain the midterm certification, a minimum score of 65% is required.

October 2025
Interim certification submitted
We have submitted the documentation to DGNB, marking an important step towards gold certification. The interim certification demonstrates that many of our sustainability plans have already been turned into tangible results.
February 2024
Precertification in Gold
We are proud that DTU Science Park has achieved precertification in gold with a performance score of 68.3%. To obtain a DGNB precertification, the score must be at least 65%.

We analyze and gain an overview of our areas for improvement. We develop strategies and plan how to enhance the sustainability efforts of the research park.

The first milestone in the DGNB certification
Submission of documentation to the Council for Sustainable Construction for a conformity check for achieving gold-level plan certification.

Through an intensive process with an auditor, we have developed a baseline and identified areas for improvement.

Planning of the certification process
Selection of an external auditor and registration of the project with the Council for Sustainable Construction.
The DGNB gold certification serves a dual purpose. Firstly, it is a future-proof system that ensures we continuously and systematically improve numerous sustainability parameters. Secondly, it allows us to document our commitment to becoming more sustainable. This will change the way we interact with stakeholders, such as customers or investors, and we will also impose new requirements on suppliers, for example.
