DeepTech Mentoring is a mentoring program where DTU Science Park companies receive targeted guidance to address their current challenges.
About the program
- You will have access to three experienced mentors.
- A mentoring program lasts six months and includes sparring tailored to the specific areas where you need guidance—all in 100% confidential settings.
- The mentors provide honest and impartial feedback on your challenges.
- The program is free of charge for companies based in DTU Science Park.
How can the mentors help you?
The mentors offer guidance and sparring to help you develop your business. You can receive support in product development, patents, strategy, organizational development, financing, and other relevant challenges.
About the mentors
- DeepTech Mentoring’s mentors include experienced experts, former CEOs, serial entrepreneurs, investors, specialists, business developers, product experts, and more.
- They are carefully selected for your business based on their experience and the challenges you wish to address.
- All mentors are certified.
- We guarantee 100% confidentiality, and all mentors sign a Code of Conduct.
How the mentoring program works
The program lasts six months, with meetings occurring approximately once a month. Our mentoring administration coordinates and schedules the meetings, which a lead mentor facilitates.
Each meeting follows a structured format to ensure focus and efficiency, allowing both parties to achieve the best possible outcomes.
Your responsibilities as a mentee
Thorough preparation is key to a successful mentoring program. As a mentee, we expect you to:
- Prepare and send an agenda to the mentors at least 3 days before each meeting.
- Draft a summary after each meeting.
Meeting duration
- First meeting: 2 hours
- Subsequent meetings: 1.5 hours

Just like most startups, ZenzeTech had little experience in building a company, when they started out. For the Medtech company, DeepTech Mentoring by DTU Science Park has provided critical guidance in creating their business.
Who are the mentors?
We have over 100 experienced mentors who are a diverse mix of serial entrepreneurs, CEOs, board members, business angels, industry experts, and more.
In addition to their invaluable experience, all mentors participate in a tailored mentor training program and are certified as mentors at DTU Science Park.
All mentors are impartial, specially selected, and work on a voluntary basis.

Mentors sign our DeepTech Mentoring Code of Conduct, which covers confidentiality, conflicts of interest, best mentor practices, and ethical guidelines.

Become a mentor for Denmark’s best deep tech startups
If you have a desire to “give back” and help startups and small businesses get off to a good start, and if you want to get up close with the latest trends and developments in deep tech, then you might be interested in joining our DeepTech Mentoring team.
As a mentor with DeepTech Mentoring, you can look forward to becoming a part of a strong mentorship team that helps create the best conditions for Denmark’s top deep tech startups.
As a mentor, you will be closely involved in the latest technological advancements in green solutions, food tech, med tech, and deep tech. You will also become a part of an ambitious and knowledge-rich network that currently consists of more than 100 active and experienced mentors.
- You are required to participate in at least one mentoring program per year. Each mentoring program with mentees typically consists of 6 meetings, each lasting 1.5-2 hours, spread over 6 months. You will spend approximately 30 hours per year, including meetings with the mentor network (the hours are based on being matched with one case).
- You will use your knowledge and experience to provide guidance and support to mentees. Our mentoring concept is not based on specific advice but rather on providing guidance that empowers mentees to grow their businesses more easily and quickly.
- You will be part of a mentor team with two other mentors. When matching mentors and mentees, we consider the mentees’ needs and the mentors’ experience.
- You will only be matched with cases that you have shown interest in.
