Helping make the medtech journey easier
According to Senior Program Manager Eva Faarbæk Grauballe, it is precisely the combination of heavy regulation, high capital requirements, and complex market conditions that makes the program necessary. Many startups face the dilemma of having to deliver on regulatory strategy, clinical trials, and business development, while lacking the resources to employ full-time staff or hire entire teams of specialists.
They might find one or two advisors who can help with parts of it. But they lack the breadth and the expertise, and they need someone who truly understands their situation. It is far too complex to solve on your own. You need someone who steps in alongside you and helps.
Eva Faarbæk Grauballe
Senior Program Manager, DTU Science Park
Eva highlights that the strength of the program lies in providing access to the right experts at the right time, support navigating the ecosystem along with a mentor network that helps companies prioritize their limited resources and focus on what truly makes the biggest impact.
Great expectations
This year’s cohort is characterized by significant diversity – both in solutions and in the founders’ backgrounds, ranging from doctors, engineers, and nurses to experienced entrepreneurs. What unites them all is the ambition to grow and make the most of the resources available.
Being located in DTU Science Park provides access to laboratories, specialized expertise, and an environment where other medtech companies are working on similar challenges. This creates a community where entrepreneurs can exchange experiences, learn from each other, and find solutions faster.
Denmark is already strong in pharma and biotech, but medtech has the potential to become the country’s next major export success. MedTech Growth aims to ensure that more Danish startups move faster from idea to international growth and deliver solutions that can make a real difference for patients – in Denmark and worldwide.
